Let's Get Cooking!

BBQ Pulled Pork

Ingredients:

  • Rubbin' Butts Spice Rub
  • 1 Pork Butt (aka a pork shoulder roast)
  • 4 Onions (cut in halves)
  • Your favorite BBQ Sauce

Directions:

1. Rub Rubbin' Butts spice rub all over the pork shoulder. Wrap the pork in plastic wrap and refrigerate for several hours or preferably overnight.

2. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.

3. Place the pork in a large pot on a bed of the onion halves. Roast until fork-tender and falling apart, about 7 hours. Remove the pork from the pot and set it on a cutting board. Slice some of the onion.

4. Place the pot on the stove over medium-high heat and add 1/2 to 1 cup of hot water. Scrape the pan to loosen up the bits and cook for 5 minutes to reduce. Pour in the barbecue sauce and stir to heat.

5. Shred the meat with two forks, add the sliced onions to the pork and then toss in the barbecue sauce until it's coated to your liking! Serve on hamburger rolls or over mac & cheese.

6. Enjoy!

BBQ Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

  • Package of chicken wings, or drumettes
  • Rubbin' Butts Spice Rub
  • Your favorite BBQ sauce

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)

2. Coat the wings in the Rubbin' Butts Spice Rub evenly, shaking off any excess.

3. Place the wings on a parchment paper–lined baking sheet and spread them out in a single layer.

4. Bake for 45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until skin is crispy and golden brown.

5. Preheat oven to 500°F (250°C).

6. Pour BBQ sauce into a bowl (add 1/2 cup honey if you prefer honey BBQ). Stir the cooked wings in the sauce and coat them evenly.

7. Place the coated wings back onto the baking sheet and spread them in a single layer.

8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until sauce is bubbly and caramelized. Cool, then serve.

9. Enjoy!
