Movie Night: How the Grinch Stole Christmas December 17th

This month we're watching "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," starring Jim Carrey, Taylor Momsen, and Jeremy Tambor.

On the outskirts of Whoville, there lives a green, revenge-seeking Grinch (Jim Carrey), who plans on ruining Christmas for all of the citizens of the town.

This film is 104 minutes long, and rated PG for some crude humor.


Paint Night: Abenaki Ski Area December 18th

Come join Doodlin D at Abenaki Ski Lodge for a fun Paint Night! Get in the holiday spirit with a wonderful winter styled painting. Light snacks, hot cocoa, and coffee included as well as everything you will need for the painting.

This is a great event to do with friends or family.

We need a minimum of 10 participants by 12/16/2019 at 9:00am in order to run this event! Sign up early and invite your friends!

Christmas Centerpiece Workshop December 18th 

Wednesday 18th 6-8pm | Moulton Farm | 18 Quarry Rd, Meredith

Tickets: $35

Create a beautiful centerpiece after choosing your base from our selection (or bring a favorite from home) and then using fresh greens, berries, cones, and fresh flowers. If you have favorite embellishments, lights or special ribbons, feel free to bring them along.
The workshop costs $35 per person and includes materials. Sign up by clicking here.

Pet Portrait Canvas December 20th

Please email a good quality picture of your pet so that we can have it pre-traced on your canvas prior to the start of the event.

1 pet per canvas. Your pets photo must be received by December 18th to

Art Escape's canvas paint and sip class is the perfect way to enjoy a night out with friends. You will be provided with a 16" x 20" canvas, step by step directions provided by one of our instructors, and all the supplies needed to complete a canvas of your own. You are given the artistic freedom to change colors in the painting to match your home decor. After a few hours of laughter and fun you will leave with a work of art you created yourself.

Not an artist? That is OK! No experience necessary, no talent required.

Age 16 and up for our paint and sip classes. We do have family classes (no alcohol) for younger ages.

Don't forget to bring your own beverages and snacks (and any cups, plates, etc. you will need)!

Do you have a group that would like to sit together? Please make sure at least one person in the group is here 15 minutes early to reserve seating for the group.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early so you can be settled in when class starts.

Ugly Sweater Skate Party December 21st

Saturday December 21st 6-7:30pm | Pop Whalen Ice & Arts Center | 390 Pine Hill Rd, Wolfeboro

Wear your favorite Holiday Sweater and come enjoy a night of skating to your favorite holiday tunes. The concession stand will be open A small prize will be given for our favorite sweater at 7:15pm (must be present to win)! This is a great event to come with your family, friends, or just to get out for a nice night skate at your favorite rink.

Regular public skating fees apply.

Branching Out Card-Making December 22nd 

Sunday December 22nd 9am-12pm| Squam Lake Association | 534 US Route 3, Holderness

Join the SLA for a cozy holiday session of hot drinks and nature inspired art! We’ll focus on card making in the art nouveau style, and will learn how to create eye-catching patterns with elegant natural motifs, such as those developed by William Morris and Maurice Verneuil. Participants are welcome to bring their own art supplies if they have favorite markers, pens, or pencils. End time is flexible so stay for as long or as little as you like.


What to Bring:
Participants are welcome to bring their own art supplies though the SLA will have materials for folks to use during the program.

Audience:
This program is recommended for a 12-and-up audience; children must be accompanied by an adult.
