If you’ve been skiing all your life, this will be a fun opportunity to step out on the snow covered ice to explore the lake in a unique way only possible during the winter. You’ll need to bring a pair of skis, ski boots and poles, lots of layers, water, and snacks. We will have a leisurely ski out to one of SLA’s islands, Moon or Bowman, if group energy and/or time permits. If it’s a clear day we can identify the mountains surrounding Squam Lake from the surrounding Squam range, the Sandwich Mountains, and other mountains to the north and south of Squam.
