Learn something sweet this winter at Prescott Farmβs Tap into Maple program! Experience the time-honored New England tradition of maple sugaring with a hands-on adventure from tree to table.
Participants will:
π³ Identify and measure trees to determine the best ones to tap
πͺ Explore both historical and modern tapping tools
π Learn the history of maple sugaring, including Native American legends
π§ͺ Discover the math and science behind boiling sap into syrup
π Taste delicious, fresh maple syrup
The program includes approximately a 1-mile walk to and from the Sugar House, with uneven terrain and an uphill return. Please dress warmly and wear boots. Snowshoes or traction cleats will be provided as needed (feel free to bring your own).

Get ready for a hilarious and exciting twist on winter racing at the Human Sled Dog Race hosted by Camp Resilience! Teams of three will compete in this unique winter challenge where teamwork, speed, and creativity all matter.
β¨ Race Format:
Teams of 3 people (2 pullers + 1 rider)
Dash 25 yards while pulling a teammate on a sled with a rope
Each puller then spins around a wiffle bat 5 times
Race back to the finish line β fastest team advances!
Bracket-style competition with heats leading to a champion

Most Creative Wear
π All types of footwear allowed (no spikes on rider).
