Lakes Region Chamber is excited to announce our first networking event of 2023.  Let’s start off the new year making new connections and supporting a local business. Lakes Region Chamber provides opportunities for business engagement and this is an opportunity for our business community to casually connect over lunch at a local member restaurant.  Invite a co-worker or client to help grow our business network.

Please register to let us know you plan to attend and we will work with the host restaurant to have tables available in the same area. Each attendee will purchase their own lunch.

The Vintage Vocal Quartet brings the big band era to life by singing while swinging on piano, guitar, bass and trumpet. The group’s repertoire is inspired by groups like Glenn Miller’s Modernaires, the Nat King Cole Trio, the Andrews Sisters, and Tommy Dorsey’s Pied Pipers, as well as singers like Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Jo Stafford. The VVQ has been delighting concert audiences, lindy hoppers, and swanky private events all over New England. They have performed with the Boston Pops, the Melrose Symphony and the Cape Symphony as well as the Capitol City Jazz Orchestra. If you love vocal harmony and swing music, the Vintage Vocal Quartet has your number!

Polar Explorer Crash Course January 21st

Don’t let the cold weather keep you from enjoying the winter wonders of the Squam Lakes region. In this Polar Explorer Crash Course, you will learn how to encounter the winter outdoors safely. You will learn about cold weather injuries, how to prevent them, and how to treat them. You will get a walkthrough of must-have gear for all your outdoor endeavors and a packing list to bring home with you. 

The best part of this crash course is you will put it all into action by taking a winter hike through Chamberlain Reynolds, with a stop for a fire-building demonstration and s’mores indulgence. By the end of the crash course, you will get to announce your Polar Explorer status proudly!
