Little Sprouts at Moulton Farm

Have fun with your children or grandchildren with our "Moulton Farm's Little Sprouts" program this summer!
Children ages 5 to 9, accompanied by a parent or grandparent, explore what's happening at the farm, learn how vegetables grow, and then get hands-on experience gardening and growing food.
Every week is different because what is happening at the farm changes so quickly during the season.
The guide for each session is Derek Collins, a Moulton Farm team member with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in education, plus over 20 years working at the farm.
Children can attend one session, several sessions, or all eight sessions in a series. This year, two different series are offered.
One series is on Tuesdays, and the other is on Wednesdays. Both series cover similar content and are held regardless of the weather.
Children must be accompanied during each session by the parent or other adult who brought them to the farm.
Each session costs $15 per child, or a season ticket can be purchased for $100, which covers all eight sessions in a series and includes a free t-shirt. There is no cost for the adult who accompanies the children.

Create A Paper Mache Loon with Kathy Marx

Join artist Kathy Marx at the Meredith Fine Craft Gallery on Thursday, July 18th 10:30 – 2:30 and Friday, July 19th 10:30 to 12:30 for a two day Paper Mache Loon Class.
In this two day workshop students will learn the basics of working with paper mache to create their own charming loon figure. On the first day students will construct the body of the loon using wire armature and paper mache. On the second day of class, student will learn to paint and finish their loon. Artist Kathy Marx will guide you through the entire process from start to finish, no experience is necessary! The finished loon will measure approximately 7 inches long.
Students should bring a small hair dryer, all other materials will be provided.
Tuition is $65 per student with an additional materials fee of $10 paid by cash or check to the instructor at the time of the class.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Those who wish to attend MUST sign up by Monday, July 15th.
