Towns Report: February 2020
In January, Alton had seven listings sell and an additional seven go under agreement. Six new listings hit the market with a days on market average of 75 days, same as Gilford's. When comparing the average days on market from January this year and last, Alton saw a 59.02% decrease in days going from 183 to 75 days.
It was a pretty slow January for Center Harbor. Zero properties sold last month and zero new listings hit the market. Only one property went under agreement resulting in a 0 days on market average which looks great but is really the result of no transactions.
Ten listings went under agreement in Gilford last month, the most for the Winnipesaukee surrounding towns. Gilford also had one of the highest amount of new listings to hit the market with 9 new homes. Five properties sold resulting in a days on market average of 75 days.
January was a big month for Laconia in comparison to the surrounding towns. Twenty two new listings hit the market in Laconia last month while 15 properties sold. Interestingly enough, although 15 listings closed in January, zero went under agreement.

Meredith tied with Gilford and Tuftonboro having the same amount of new listings hit the market in January with a total of 9 properties. Four listings sold last month while zero went under agreement. The average days on market was nearly half of what it was the previous year seeing a 42.72 decrease in days going from 103 to 59.
Moultonborough ended the month with the lowest days on market average with less than a month, 28 days! The next lowest DOM average was 31 days more than Moultonborough!
Seven properties sold in January and an additional seven new listings hit the market. Four properties went under agreement one of which was our listing at 388 Long Island Rd that went under agreement in just FIVE days and another was our listing at 44 Driftwood Dr a luxury Lake Winnipesaukee waterfront property!

In January only 2 properties sold in Tuftonboro, just one more listing than January of the previous year. Nine new homes hit the market, same amount as Gilford and Meredith. Another 2 went under agreement with an average days on market average of 120 days, the most of the towns surrounding Lake Winnipesaukee.

Wolfeboro saw five listings close last month ending January with an average days on market of 84 days. An additional five listings hit the market last month while six went under agreement. Two of the five that went under agreement were listings we represented the buyers on and closed in just a month's time.
